Overall notes: Level skip will disable all achievements
except damageless boss fights (plus Thants), perfect minigame, Defeat all enemy
achievements (with the exception of Get Bonked), and pacifism achievements
(with the exception of Conscientious Rockjector). I feel like only one challenge
should be chosen per console (that is, either genocide or pacifist, as well as destroy all
rocks/don’t attack any rocks), so that the Genesis/Megadrive and Sega CD/Mega
CD versions can have a legitimate reason to replay, even for masters. For the
sake of completion, I have also left an achievement for watching the Sega CD’s opening
cutscene without skipping. Gameplay-wise, the Sega CD version is identical to
the Genesis; only that opening cutscene and entirely new soundtrack differentiate
them.

Ending notes:
There is also the original Amiga version that every version
is based off of, which has some slight level layout differences, a few sprite
differences (including nipples!), a few character name differences, among other
little things. The music in the Amiga version is what the Genesis and GG
versions are based on, with a couple original jingles here and there. If RA eventually
gets Amiga support, the set for it would likely be very similar to this.
The Game Gear version is a mostly original game, with
original layouts, different level order, omits some level themes entirely (Dippy,
the trees), and mostly original bosses (in terms of patterns, anyway). The overall theming is the same, though. Achievement-wise,
the GG version would likely need an original set, because I’m pretty sure aside
from the omissions, the secrets are different too. The completion-based
achievements would look the same on paper, since the names of levels, bosses, and characters in this version haven't changed. There is also a Master System version, that at 1st glance seems like it's just the version the GG version was based on...which is technically true because the engines are clearly the same, but the level layouts vary greatly. Same theming, music, and boss fights though. Unsurprisingly, the view is pulled back, so the SMS version has no screen crunch issues.
